If you use GPs and hospitals, dentists, pharmacies, care homes or other support services in your area, we want to hear about your experiences.As an independent statutory body, we have the power to make sure NHS leaders and other decision makers listen to local feedback and improve standards of care. We can also help you to find reliable and trustworthy information and advice.

Registration and arrivals will be from 2:30pm, for a 3:00pm start.As health and social care services are being changed and restructured over the next years, Healthwatch Lambeth has a duty to ensure local people’s views are represented and heard by service providers and decision makers. Properly involving Lambeth people in now will help sure that these services will meet everyone’s needs in the future.At our annual meeting this year, we invite people to join us in to talk about public involvement in Lambeth Together, the Lambeth wide initiative to reshape and improve health and social care. We are inviting local residents, community groups, voluntary sector and people who work in health and social care in Lambeth, to come and share successes, issues and suggestions for the future for public participation in Lambeth.Read more on Lambeth Together and our plans below.Working with Lambeth TogetherWe want to come together and talk about how we can best support Lambeth Together to engage effectively with the public and service users on all levels. Lambeth Together is the borough wide initiative to change the way health and social care services are delivered, in order to help Lambeth residents lead healthier lives, and give them better access to health services. It also aims to make improvements for staff working in health and social care.Where we are nowThe Lambeth Co-production blue print was launched earlier this year as a starting point to improving public involvement in Lambeth. We want to move forward to ensure words are put into action, to take a broader look at how public involvement means more than co-production, and how comprehensive participation of communities means taking more than one approach. We think there is a need to approach public involvement through a spectrum of methodologies – including information giving, consultation, involvement, collaboration and devolvement.Looking ahead As a signatory to the Lambeth Together Pledge, we will support its four Alliances who have been tasked with delivering the improvements, to design and run effective participation processes. We will do this both by working with partners on joint participation projects and as a critical friend. Alongside our own feedback gathering, this will help us to deliver our mission of ensuring that people’s experiences and views are central to decision-making. Offering support in this way to the local health and care system is a key part of our new strategy for 2019-2024.Join us on the 20th of November and have your say!Event Details: Agenda will be shared here shortly.Keynote speakerCouncillor Ed Davie will talk about his research with King&#x27;s College London into how working with communities can shape public health support and what this might mean for how we shape health in Lambeth.Workshops We will be running four workshops around an upcoming topic from each of Lambeth Together’s four Alliances. The four workshops will look at key topics coming up over the next year, and the question we aim to answer is:How can people be involved in decisions about this topic?Please join us for one of the sessions, whether you work with one of the topics, have lived experience linked to it, or an interest in the issue.1. Personalised Support Alliance Our older people engagement officer Kate will lead a discussion on: What should be the local service outcomes for our last years of life? The workshop will explore how to get feedback on questions such as:•	What should a person’s experience be like during their last years of life? •	What is a good death?2. Neighbourhood and Wellbeing Alliance Our CEO Catherine will run a workshop to talk about:What should be the local prevention programme within Lambeth Together, and how would neighbourhoods be involved? 3. Living Well Network AllianceOur mental health engagement officer Mike will be talking about: How effective is support to people in Lambeth who experience Mental health crisis? Who should be involved to help make sure everyone&#x27;s needs are heard and met?4. Children and Young People AllianceOur children and young people&#x27;s lead Natalia will lead a discussion on:What should be the direction and priorities of the Children and Young People&#x27;s Partnership, and how can we ensure young people have a say?
