Making Progress in Microsoft Excel - Intermediate levelThis course is for people who are already familiar with the basic functions of Microsoft Excel and would like to take their skills to another level. It is delivered over two sessions of 3.5 hours, using segmented lessons that are backed up by short exercises that the tutor takes you through. Content includes:• Reviewing the basics: a reminder on the ribbon, formatting, simple formulas etc• Using dates in Excel• Using IF with the basic formulas - for example, tell Excel to sum items ONLY if a defined criteria is met• The stand-alone IF function. This is when Excel starts to get really useful. For example, IF cell A2 is greater than 5, multipl celll B2 by 3, otherwise, do nothing.• Absolute and Relative References: locking formulas to specific data• Using the LOOKUP functions. Excel's other great tool - learn to lookup yout data according to your specified conditions• The concept of Helper columns. Find out how a helper column can make your formulas work better.• Naming a range. Give a specified range a name, so you can use it again and againA Teams invitation wil be sent to attendees a few days in advance of the course.
