2-day weekend workshop // 10am - 5pm both days // Level: Growing Beginner // Cost: £125 // Instructor: Cassandra Macindoe, Designer & Stitchery Founder // Project: The Carolyn Pyjamas
Take your sewing skills to the next level and make a cosy set of Pyjamas!
Whether you're cosying up by the fire, eating Sunday brunch, or making your way through the latest Netflix series binge, there's nothing quite like lounging in a comfortable pair of PJs!
In this 2-day workshop, led by Stitchery Founder, Cassandra Macindoe, we'll be showing you how to make your very own pair of classic, hand-crafted PJs. Over the course of the weekend you'll be making the Carolyn Pyjamas: a thoughtfully tailored, comfortable and well fitting PJ set with various styling options. In doing so, you'll be introduced to techniques such as elasticised waits, slash pockets, notched collars, setting in sleeves, attaching cuffs, faux flies, curved hems, making and sewing in piping, and breast pockets.
Because this is a short course, we're asking students to turn up with their fabric pieces already cut out. This will give you the best chance of completing your PJs over the 2-days.
In order to make this happen, we need to get your Carolyn Pyjamas pattern to you. Upon booking, we'll be asking you whether you'd prefer to pick it up from the studio or have us post it out to you (you will need to provide your postal address).
When you come to book your place on this course, you'll be asked to provide us with your waist, hip, upper bust, and bust measurements in Inches, plus your bra cup size. If you're not sure how to take these measurements, check out our blog post on this subject.
