Event Information
About this Event
Free online event - with special guest Alex Talbot
Ever wanted to make your dinner party look like you’ve just walked into a restaurant? If you want to impress your friends and family, then join us on Wednesday 3rd Feb at 7pm to learn two simple recipes that you can make at home, but look like you’ve just brought them from a restaurant.
‘Making Simple Food Look Fancy’ is a live cooking demo where you will learn new techniques and recipes to try in your home. Recipes will be made available and it’s your opportunity to ask questions directly during this live cooking event!
Join our special guest Alex Talbot - a former Masterchef contestant in 2018. Coming sixth overall in Masterchef, she was described by Michelin starred Chef Alexis Gauthier as the 'future of food'. She is also known as the 'Queen of puds'. Alex now runs SALT Kitchen along with two other former Masterchef contestants, as well as her own private dining business Alexandra Talbot Cooks.
We are delighted that Kate McKeand, a good friend and fellow foodie will be hosting the session and will be asking Alex all your questions as we go along. Alex will give us her tips and tricks about food and cooking that she 's learnt over the years.
This event is free to join, but we are aiming to raise vital funds for the Trussell Trust - a food bank charity that is aiming to stop food poverty in the UK. As we know 2020 has been a tough year for everyone, but there are now more people in the UK than ever, that are having to rely on food banks, so we are raising funds to help with this. Please donate anything you can.

Alex will post the recipes for each course and costs on her instagram page following the session, so feel free to follow her - there's some great images on there of previous dishes she's made.
