This practical workshop will focus on two exciting projects:

🌱 Living Willow Shelter

We’ll transform existing willow in Field 6 into a beautiful, circular living shelter. This space will be used by Earth Moves and visiting groups as a quiet, creative, and social outdoor structure. You’ll learn how living willow structures are designed, woven, and established for long-term growth.

🌿 Willow Nursery Bed

We’ll also create a willow nursery bed to grow high-quality basketry and living-structure willow. Over time, this will support on-site workshops and provide materials for local craftspeople, helping build sustainable skills and income streams.

What the day includes:

• Practical, guided work on the living willow shelter
• Creating and planting a willow nursery bed
• Learning about different willow varieties and their uses
• Information-sharing on willow growing, harvesting, and care
• No prior experience needed—just curiosity, willingness, and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. Please wear waterproof boots.
