We are inspired by Frederic Laloux’s examples of what is possible and the vision of “teal” organisations. Yet his examples are widely different – large and small, manufacture and service, new-builds and long-term conversions – each with their unique journey.

We know the “what?” and the “why?”

What do we need to know about the “how?”

This one-day high-level “teal” overview workshop for organisational leaders, practitioners and change agents will explore both the organisational and personal experience of the journey towards “teal”.

The purpose of this workshop is to:

• provide participants with an understanding of the dynamics of stage change in organisations;
• deepen their personal experience of the stages and their ability to recognise them, and know where they are “looking from”;
• increase the understanding of the drivers for and inhibitors of change, the different types of change and how to understand organisational readiness for change;
• embed the recognition of what Teal is, and the extent to which it is the sum and integration of the first-tier stages;
• build awareness of how to balance values within a stage (horizontal wholeness);
• create understanding of the value of each stage and its inclusion in the ecosystem (vertical wholeness);
• look at the significance of teams, structures, habits and processes in removing constraints to emergence and self-management;

And to have participants leave with fewer answers and more but better questions.

Participants will be asked to have an organisation in mind that they have indepth knowledge of, either by having worked within or worked with, to use as their case study.

Pre-work prior to workshop

Before attending, we ask that all participants do some pre-work to ensure that our short time together is beneficial for all.

2) Familiarise yourself with the Spiral Dynamics by watching a one-hour introductory video by Jon Freeman
