Malaysian Cookery Workshop

Malaysian Cookery Workshop

ramekin + rollingpin cookery schoolGlasgow
Thursday, Jun 25, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm GMT+1
Overview

Spend some time with us making a delicious Malaysian meal.

Join us for a relaxed and flavour-packed 2-hour Malaysian cookery workshop, celebrating the bold and diverse flavours of Malaysia.

Malaysian cuisine is shaped by Malay, Chinese and Indian influences, resulting in food that is vibrant, aromatic and deeply satisfying. Expect fragrant spices, fresh herbs, creamy coconut milk and lively heat, all carefully balanced with sour, savoury and sweet notes.

In this hands-on evening class, we’ll cook together and explore key Malaysian techniques such as building curry bases, balancing spice and acidity, preparing fresh salads, and working with dough. These are comforting, everyday dishes that are full of flavour and easy to recreate at home.

Example Menu

  • Curry Kapitan – fragrant Malaysian chicken curry with lemongrass and spices
  • Kerabu Salad – fresh herb salad with citrus and chilli
  • Roti Canai – flaky, pan-fried flatbread

The menu may vary slightly depending on ingredient availability and the dietary requirements of the group.
