Mama Meet Up Thurrock – Rhyme Time & Chill!
Hey Mamas!
Join us for a relaxed and welcoming Rhyme Time & Chill session where you and your little ones can enjoy music, connection, and community.
We’ll be taking part in a fun library rhyme time session, giving children the chance to sing, move, and learn through music.
And if that’s not enough fun, each session will be followed by tea and delicious puff puff from Akonor ☕✨, stay and unwind in a warm, friendly space where you can chat, share stories, and connect with other parents and carers.
We will provide:
- ☕ Tea and culturally sensitive refreshments, including puff puff
- 🤍 A supportive space to connect with other parents and carers
- 🥕 Weekly Free food packages with ingredients for Afro-Caribbean meals (limited availability)
- Swap shop - an opportunity to give away your pre-loved items
This project is designed to support families with young children by offering warmth, nourishment, and community connection, while celebrating cultural diversity and easing some of the pressures of rising living costs.
Food packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are intended to help with food costs over the winter period.
Who is this for?
Parents and carers of young children, particularly those affected by rising living costs. Everyone is welcome.
Cost
Free (booking is only required, so we can ensure we have enough food packs and refreshments)
This project is supported by Thurrock CVS and Thurrock Community Fund.
