Please book them a place using the non member booking option.In recognition and support of International Men&#x27;s Day, we are pleased to welcome Charles Taymour, an international therapist, consultant, and trainer.This twist on the classic law enforcement/military term refers to numerous academic research highlighting very concerning figures about the current state of men. Modern men have sadly become anxious, withdrawn, confused with high suicide rates. Graduating less from secondary school and universities and developing addictions to gaming, online pornography and narcotic substances, not to mention the steep rise in fatherlessness among boys and its despairing impact. These are very different times indeed. Purposeless, redundant and demonised by the cultural narratives of today, many (boys &amp;) men are uncertain and confused about:<ul><li>What does it mean to be a man today? </li><li>Is ‘masculinity’ toxic and undesired or covertly valued? </li><li>Is the prescribed advice having a constructive or destructive impact on boys and the men of today? </li></ul>How can these insights support our health and wellbeing initiatives?The ‘requesting back up’ section aims to encourage HR colleagues and associates to implement useful strategies in facilitating men to seek help and adopting a solutionist approach in rebuilding their mental wellness in the same way exercise can enhance their physical. Similarly, the way a seasoned police constable or soldier needs back up to get the job done, so do we all - No man is an island!Charles Taymour will refer to his own experiences and credible sources highlighting the worrying trends in men’s overall health, whilst offering some valuable insights into pragmatic options. He&#x27;s been training companies internationally, leading seminars and enabling private &amp; executive clients to make constructive change with ease. His wellbeing approach is simple, pragmatic, and powerful.
