About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Whether it's little things, like moving from one activity to another; or big things like moving school or house, change and transitions can be especially hard for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). In this workshop you will learn how to support your child through them, bringing more peace and harmony to your home.

If change and transitions cause meltdowns in your family, know that you are not doing anything wrong. It's just that our kids' brains work a little differently, and the traditional parenting techniques you may have been using aren't designed for them.

The good news is that I teach a specialist theraputic parenting strategy called NVR (non-violent resistance) which will help you and your child manage those pesky transitions better.

My name is Esther and I am a parent of a child with special educational needs. My daughter found transitions so difficult - especially endings. Yet we got through it using these techniques. That's why I trained as an NVR parent coach and accredited EFT tapping practitioner - so I can now teach these strategies to other parents who may be struggling.

This workshop is perfect for any parent whose child who is about to start school, or moving to a new education phase. It will also help if your child finds it hard moving from the term time to the holiday routine.

By joining this worksop you can:
* Reduce meltdowns triggered by change and transition
* Find stratgies for supporting your child through the change
* Process your own stress and overwhelm

In just two hours you will be better prepared for any big (or little) changes coming your way. A calmer family life is possible.

If you can't make the time, sign up and a recording will be sent to you after.

My name is Esther, and I am a single parent to a 10 year old with complex needs and disabilities. Parenting her is the hardest job I’ve ever had. By quite a long way. But I have learnt a lot on our journey together, and I want to share some of those lessons with you.
