About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Please note, this workshop is open to colleagues in healthcare, social care and the police across Devon only.

The latest Kings Fund research found that half of NHS staff completing their survey (60,000) have felt unwell with work-related stress in the last year, and staff in this sector 50% more likely to experience burnout than the general working population.

Unfortunately there are things we can’t control within our workplaces, however we do have more scope to influence our response to those demands placed upon us.

Led by Anna Croucher, Senior Colleague Wellbeing Practitioner, this workshop will teach practical ways to manage day-to-day stress, as well as exploring ways to understand stress and how it impacts us so we have greater awareness moving forward.

The session weaves neuroscience and psychology in an accessible manner, with practical tools and techniques. At the end of the session you will walk away with a clear action plan to boost your wellbeing, manage stress and prevent burnout at work.

There will be a maximum of 25 spaces available to ensure there is time to connect with each other. The sessions will take place on MS Teams and you will need a pen and paper and somewhere you can talk without disturbances.

Our events aim to deliver accessible workshops, covering a range of wellbeing topics. These sessions differ from the Hub's team workshops and are instead aimed at individuals who would like tools and advice to help support their everyday wellbeing.

Most sessions will be led by one of our senior colleague wellbeing practitioners and every workshop is open to all colleagues working in healthcare, social care and the police across Devon.
