Unwind, reconnect, and explore your creativity in this immersive Mandala Art Workshop. Whether you're new to mandala art or looking to deepen your creative practice, this free-flowing session will guide you through the beautiful and meditative process of mandala creation. Using a pre-painting black stretched canvas, specially designed worksheets and Darshna’s gentle guidance, you'll learn to form intricate patterns and designs using high quality acrylic paints, that centre your mind and awaken your imagination.
What to Expect:
- A short 5–10-minute introduction to Darshna, her artistic journey, and the healing power of mandala art
- Insight into what mandala art is and its mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits
- Time to practice on plain black practice paper to explore creative ideas and learn about paint consistency and dotting pressures
- Hands-on creation time using curated templates and a variety of different sized dotting tools to inspire your own unique 6 x 6 canvas mandala
- A space for mindfulness, creativity, and calm
- All materials and equipment will be provided and refreshments available
This is a free-flowing, expressive session – no prior experience needed. You'll leave the workshop not only with your own personal mandala artwork, but also with the knowledge and tools to continue the practice at home. Plus, if you want to continue your Mandala art at home, you can purchase your very own dotting tools and paints from Darshna at the end of the session.
If you're artwork requires more drying time, we'll keep it save at the venue and you can collect it another day - we will contact you to arrange collection.

About the Artist:
Darshna Patel is a Leicestershire-born mandala artist and founder of DeelightfulDots, a creative platform born from personal transformation and healing. Formerly a global IT project manager, Darshna turned to mandala art in 2015 as a way to manage the stresses of daily life. Following the loss of her father in 2023, she channelled her grief into art, launching DeelightfulDots in 2024. Her current portfolio, "From Grief to Gratitude", beautifully reflects this emotional journey.
Working with acrylic paints, wood, mirrors, and canvas, Darshna’s gem-embellished pieces are known for their elegance, precision, and depth. She now shares the therapeutic power of mandala art through workshops across Leicestershire.
