Mandala Drawing Workshop

Hi, my name is Ubie.I am a qualified graphic designer, and also design fashion items including jewelry, clothing and bags and household items including candles, coasters and soft furnishings.I love travelling and source materials and inspiration from local communities and designers, especially in SE Asia, India and Central America.  I use these materials to create beautiful products in an ethical, supportive manner.I have run a studio for many years and love teaching both children and adults arts and crafts.  My most popular courses, recently, have been in Mandala drawing, design and colouring.  Although I have taught many forms of art, I have found Mandala perfect for all age groups and for any level of artistic ability.  My students love the sense of achievement, using only paper and pen and find the nature of the course meditative and relaxing.  I am really looking forward to bringing these experiences to people in London and the UK.

Ubie Chan at UbieDesign

Mandala is an ancient circular motif used by cultures spread across time and distance. In truth, a Mandala is more than art, it is a journey to your soul. For thousands of years, humanity has used Mandalas of just this purpose. 
In this 2.5 hours Workshop, you will be guided to create your own personal Mandala painting on canvas (25cm x25cm) and will leave the course with your own completed piece of art which you can then choose to colour. 
Mandalas can be as intricate as you wish and I will demonstrate the techniques you may use to create a beautiful piece of work. You will be amazed at what you can create in a short period of time and will find the experience relaxing and mindful. 
The class size will be small, and a maximum of 12 people.  Therefore, there will be plenty of time to help you 1-2-1 and answer any questions you may have.  All materials are included, you will leave with your completed canvas.
I have run many successful design courses in Hong Kong, my home country.  I have recently moved to London.  My first  course sold out quickly, so please book soon to avoid disappointment.  My second course will be the last one at the promotional discounted price.
