<h2>Join Our Mandatory Reporting of Child Sexual Abuse Webinar.</h2> We’re pleased to be hosting a free 1-hour webinar exploring the upcoming duty on mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse and what this means for practice.This session will bring together safeguarding and legal perspectives, drawing on learning from the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA). In its final report, IICSA made a clear recommendation for the introduction of a mandatory reporting duty, shaped by the experiences and testimony of victims and survivors who highlighted persistent failures to report and respond to abuse.The UK Government has since committed to taking this recommendation forward, with provisions being introduced through the forthcoming Crime and Policing Bill.Delivered jointly by: Cassy Harrison, Director of Safeguarding, SaS Consultancy Group, former Safeguarding Lead at IICSA Malcolm Johnson, Head of Abuse Claims / Legal Director, Lime SolicitorsWe’ll explore why mandatory reporting is being introduced, recommendations and findings from IICSA, what the proposed changes mean in practice, and how organisations can start preparing now.
