MARAC & Harmful Practices Training
A training designed to increase the confidence of MARAC Reps to identify and address harmful practices at MARAC.
Harmful practices are forms of gender-based violence and domestic abuse rooted in misuse of tradition, religion, culture, patriarchal codes of behaviour, perceptions of honour and shame, and heteronormativity.
In order to safeguard victim/survivors of harmful practices, MARAC panels should be confident discussing the risks of harmful practices and setting actions to mitigate these risks.
Delivered by the Harmful Practices Operational Group for Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Hammersmith & Fulham, this session will upskill MARAC Reps to better identify and address harmful practices cases at MARAC, ensuring victim/survivors of harmful practices don't fall through the gaps.
This training is for all MARAC Reps working in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Hammersmith & Fulham.
We are running this session twice, on the 2nd and the 23rd February.
