Marvin Muoneké, one of the UK’s rising jazz artists, is a vocalist, songwriter, trumpeter and performing artist with a voice that has been often referred to as rich, deep and smooth. Bringing the songs and sounds of mid-20th century jazz and popular music to modern listeners of all ages.
Marvin brings classic sounds to modern audiences with charisma, elegance and an unmistakable presence and passion for storytelling through song. His love for jazz began at age four after hearing Louis Jordan’s Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. As a teen, he immersed himself in the music of early jazz legends like Jelly Roll Morton and Don Redman and his passion for the musical art form flourished, later joining the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in 2014 under Mark Armstrong. Over the last 14 years, Marvin has fronted numerous bands and performed at prestigious venues at home and abroad, including The Weston Playhouse, CICCIC Taunton, Southampton’s Concorde Club, Pizza Express Holborn and Soho, Theatre Royal Winchester and the Pavillon Gabriel on Champs-Élysées in Paris.
Nominated in 2024 at the Boisdale Music Awards for Jazz Artist Of The Year, his deep and silky voice has to be heard to be believed and really does the repertoire justice. Playing 5-7 gigs a week, Marvin has built a fearsome reputation around the South of England and is now regularly seen in major jazz venues in London. He has featured on TV in both The Voice and Britain's got Talent and has released two albums with a third currently in production. He regularly tours with the “Down for the Count” jazz orchestra and has twice been invited to perform with the Armenian Philharmonic orchestra.
In March 2025, he realised one of his lifelong dreams of becoming a big band leader and formed his own swing orchestra called Big Marv’s Big Fat Band. He is a captivating performer, musician and band leader with an assurance that belies his youth.
Performance starts at 7:30pm, doors from 6:30pm with bar available.
