Hands-on BBC session to build confidence in radio & TV interviews and practise delivering your charity’s story with impact.

Build confidence, build your interview technique, and learn how to get your key messages across in a supportive, hands-on session. Participants will have the chance to practise short mock interviews and see a TV interview demonstration.

In this session you will learn:

  • Why charities make great media stories and how to highlight them effectively
  • Practical tips to make life easier for journalists
  • Key techniques for strong radio and TV interviews to stay on message and avoid common pitfalls
  • How to prepare and practise delivering your story in a real-world interview setting

Isla Blatchford (Senior Community Reporter, BBC Guernsey)

A familiar voice to many from the radio, Isla Blatchford, the new Senior Community Reporter at BBC Guernsey, has worked in broadcasting for longer than she can remember and has lots of practical insights and tips to share on working with the local media.

Tim Hunter (Breakfast Presenter, BBC Guernsey)

Tim Hunter, a trusted voice on local radio and a BBC Radio Guernsey presenter with extensive knowledge of the local community, sharing news, stories, and insights from across the Bailiwick.
