Who is this training for?

This training is relevant to anyone who has a role or interest in improving the creativity and impact of their visual communications. This new online course will challenge, enlighten, equip, and inspire you. It will transform your confidence and give you the competence to embrace this complex, multidisciplinary subject.

Structure

To accommodate the unique demands of learning online, the training will be delivered across a sequence of four days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Monday) with 3-hour daily workshops blending teaching, in-class exercises, discussions, and practical activities. The workshops will commence at 9:00am and finish at 12:00pm UK time on each day.

There will be a short break during each session to help the brain, ears and eyes briefly relax. Beyond the 12 hours of total contact time, delegates will be invited to undertake homework activities between sessions to maximise their learning opportunity.

Class size

The maximum class size will be set at 16 attendees to create a supportive virtual learning environment that facilitates of interactive discussion across the session for all participants

Technology

As this course is delivered entirely online, Zoom (fully encrypted) has been selected as the technology to present and deliver the collaborative learning experience. Attendees will require a laptop or desktop computer with microphone access enabled as a minimum, a web camera is entirely optional.

Training materials will be issued digitally, including the teaching slides, exercise files and further useful resources, and delegates will receive instructions and information about this prior to the course resources.

All workshop sessions will be recorded to provide a backup track for any attendee who may experience any form of disruption or interruption to their course attendance (eg. meetings, home schooling, deliveries). These recordings will be shared online and will be available to watch up to 2 weeks after the course is completed.

Payment

Payment can be made online with a range of credit card types using the built in Eventbrite processing system. Click on 'Register' and follow the instructions to complete the delegate registration and payment details.

You can also make a registration offline via an invoice process for electronic transfer or cheque payment. If you/your organisation prefer this method please just email andy@visualisingdata.com to reserve your place and progress your registration.

VAT

An additional 20% VAT charge is made for UK delegates and those based in the EU (outside UK) whose organisation is NOT registered for the equivalent of VAT. If you believe your organisation is exempt from VAT charges please email andy@visualisingdata.com to explain your situation and to make arrangements for this exemption to be reflected in the registration costs.

Delegate cancellations

Full refunds (less the non-refundable Eventbrite processing fee at 5%) are offered for delegate cancellations UNLESS the event is less than 7 days away OR it is over 60 days since you registered, in which case a partial refund (50% less the non-refundable Eventbrite processing fee at 5%) will be offered.

If you wish to transfer a registration to another delegate, that is fine, but please email andy@visualisingdata.com if this situation arises. The best advice is to make sure you can definitely attend the training before booking!

Event cancellations

In the extremely rare event that this training course has to be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances you will be offered a choice of a full refund OR the opportunity to attend an alternative training course in the future. Refunds will be limited to registration costs: Visualising Data Ltd is not liable for any other costs incurred.
