How to use Substack as a part of your writing practice, and a promotion tool
WORKSHOP
Keep hearing all about the benefits of being on Substack as a writer but not sure where to start? Desperately seeking a platform for your words but not found one that works for you? Substack might just work for you as it has for Jo Gotheridge, so she is keen to share her knowledge with you.
She will help you to get behind the jargon, understand how it all works and what benefits it might have for you. She will share her tried and tested methods for gaining traction, getting subscribers and what being in the Substack community can bring.
THE TUTOR
Jo is a prolific writer who worked in the education system for 29 years before stepping out of the classroom and pursuing her dream of becoming a writer. She has just published her first book, Love Labour and Loss which was sparked by the discovery of a huge collection of candid photos taken by her late father, in the loft of the family home. She is now working on a programme of writing workshops and events local to Belper, with her fellow writer Catherine as part of The Writing Collective. They are spreading their passion for the written word and how writing can contribute to wellbeing!
