Maths: An introduction to bar modelling

Join us as we explore how bar modelling allows pupils to draw and visualise mathematical concepts.

Delegates will be taken through the foundations of bar modelling beginning with how they develop from the use of concrete manipulatives. They will then work on developing conceptual understanding of the four operations, fractions and ratio. ​By the end of the session, they will see that bar models can be used to develop a consistent model to look at a wide variety of mathematical structures.

THIS WEBINAR IS A LIVE EVENT AND WILL NOT BE RECORDED. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A BOOKING ON THE BASIS OF VIEWING THE SESSION LATER AS THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.
