Finding it difficult keeping up with your child's Maths homework? Or feel like your maths skills are in need of a refresh? Stromness Academy and Community Learning and Development will be jointly hosting a free Maths for Parents course on the 18 or 26 of March. The session is designed for parents of pupils nearing the end of Primary school / in the first few years of Secondary. Solving calculations such as long division and fractions have changed slightly to what students are taught currently, so you may now find yourself confused or uneasy when trying to help your children with their homework. This course will show you and bring you up to date with the current methods used in Maths classrooms. So whether you want to refresh your Maths skills or increase your confidence in helping with homework, this course should benefit you.
