Mathematical fluency extends beyond the rapid recall of facts; it involves the development of number sense, which allows learners to understand numbers deeply and use them flexibly.This session explores how we can support learners to think multiplicatively so they have the skills to fall back on if they are unable to recall fluency facts and also to support them to solve problems involving numbers beyond their fact knowledge.
