MCCIV

The Profound Sound Festival reaches across traditional forms of music to the fringes of sound-art covering song and instrumental performance, spoken word, radio broadcasting, sound installation, contemporary classical and jazz, electoracoustic, sound-art, performance, film and video.

Profound Sound Festival

Formed in 2015, Montrose Composers’ Club comprises of local composer/performers Aidan Shepherd, Ian Fleming, Matthew Brown, Anna Braithwaite and Phil Self. Their eclectic careers have lent their writing flavours of folk, jazz, cabaret and electronics, allowing them to create genre-defying sounds for savvy ears. Back by popular demand, MCCIV is their third concert as part of Profound Sound and will feature new immersive works for analogue tape loops and string quartet, and further collaborations with local visual and sound artists.

Concessions
£4 for full-time students, recipients of Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit and registered disabled. Appropriate proofs of eligibility are to be shown. 
£2 Under 18s.
 
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no age restriction but people of 7yrs plus will probably get the most out of the event. MCCIV is not specifically a family event but is family friendly. Access for buggies will be hampered by the huge set of stairs at the entrance.
 
What time do the doors open?
2.30pm
 
Accessibility: 
There is a disabled toilet at the venue and an entrance with five steps but we regret to say that the venue is not accessible for those in wheelchairs. To discuss your access requirements please call: 07973 861 042 or email: annabraithwaite@me.com.
 
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The venue is a fifteen minute walk from Folkestone Central Station and a ten minute walk from the central bus station. On street parking is available nearby.
