Richmond CVS is an independent charity and the infrastructure support body for the hundreds of organisations that make up the voluntary and community sector in our Borough.   Richmond CVS delivers a range of services such as training, tools, advice and support to help voluntary organisations in Richmond become strong, independent and sustainable.

Volunteering Training

Our volunteering training programme covers a wide range of topics, such as developing a volunteer management programme, difficult situations and volunteering and the law.

When it comes to recruiting and retaining volunteers, demonstrating the contribution people can make to your cause is vital. In fact, having a good understanding of the contribution of volunteering to your organisation is essential if we want to secure funding, influence effectively and so much more.This online session will help you understand:<ul><li>the development of methods for measuring the contribution volunteers make to an organisation and society;</li><li>how those methods work and their relative pros and cons;</li><li>why you should measure volunteering and how to use the data you produce.</li></ul> Who should attend:The session is suitable for any trustee, staff member or volunteer in the Richmond borough who is responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers or who is thinking of using volunteers to support their work.This session is part of our regular series of half-day and bite size training sessions which help develop capacity and promote best practice in volunteer management. Trainer: Rob JacksonRob Jackson is Director of Rob Jackson Consulting Ltd, a consultancy and training company that helps engage and inspire people to bring about change.Rob has over 30 years of experience working in the voluntary and community sector, holding a variety of strategic development and senior management roles that have focused on leading and engaging volunteers, including six years at Volunteering England.Rob is co-author of The Complete Volunteer Management Handbook (DSC, 2012 and 2019) and From The Top Down - UK Edition (Energize Inc., 2015).
