Vikki Cook
I’ve been working in the broadcast industry for over twenty years . I have an extensive management, commissioning and award winning production history across the BBC, Sky and Channel 5. Most recently I launched the brand new TV channel, ‘London Live’, taking it from a blank sheet of paper to ‘on air’ in just 10 months.
Excellent communication is at the heart of everything I do. I am known for my inspirational leadership and management style - and my honest feedback. I have been heavily involved in coaching and mentoring some of the smallest and biggest broadcast talents and continue to regularly guide and advise many individuals within the media sector. Alongside a wide ranging network of contacts across the industry, I am an active member and judge of BAFTA and RTS. I am also a director on the board of the London Press Club and chair of its events committee.
Anyone who knows me will say I am good at a lot of things … but sitting still isn’t one of them. I have recently set-up my own company Cookie Media, to focus on *coaching, *content and *consultancy, for media and non media organisations.

I decided to study Linguistics at University but quickly realised waffling about whether English has a future tense or not wasn’t for me. I started making short films and got noticed by a production company in Brighton. I had loads of fun being creative and doing things like projecting videos onto the sides of barns for a living.
I’ve worked in the media for the last ten years producing digital content, TV programmes, and news. I discovered my love of journalism later than most but quickly realised it was the industry I wanted to work in. Like Vikki I’m a member of the London Press Club and I’m a juror for the Royal Television Society Journalism awards. I find digital and the future of the media absolutely fascinating.
I’ve worked for Bloomberg Television and currently work at the British Forces Broadcasting Service. I helped launch their TV channel Forces TV and it’s digital production team. I also advise the Government on digital comms strategy, help charities grow their social media presence, and train Major Generals at Sandhurst on the future of the media. I’ve recently set up Sunbather, a digital consultancy arm of BFBS.
