Let's Get Digital

Get your Digital on with this series of creative workshops from local experts, using free software such as Canva, WOMP and Blender to bring your creations to life!

This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for anyone curious about 3D design or looking for a relaxing, creative outlet. Make a start with the free and intuitive WOMP platform, which lets you sculpt stunning visuals in a calming, zen zone.Here's what you'll experience:<ul><li>We'll guide you through WOMP's famous physics engine and "goopiness" with a chill playlist to spark your creativity</li><li>Explore shapes and interactions at your own pace. This is a fun and stress-free environment in which to learn 3D design basics</li><li>The workshop starts with a demonstration, followed by a hands-on exploration</li><li>Keep your creations as a memento of your design journey</li></ul>Who’s this for?<ul><li>This event is for ages 18 and above. If you are under 18 and interested in attending (or would like to bring someone under 18) then this is possible for most workshops, but please note that the pace will be suited to adult learners. We're also happy to advise if you're unsure. We charge a £3 booking fee, which is refunded on attending the event. Or, if you prefer, you can leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds will be processed within seven working days. If you cannot afford a ticket, please email makestuff@madlab.org.uk with your name and postcode, and we will be in touch.Additional informationLight refreshments and snacks will be provided.About the facilitatorAnna Billany is a Manchester-based digital artist, illustrator, and printmaker. She is a co-owner of the community-led Roots Riso Press in Underbank Studios, where she can be found creating illustrative works inspired by cyberfeminism.
