A Concert Marking the Closing of Cyprus’s EU Presidency Cultural Programme in London
The Cultural Section of the Cyprus High Commission, in collaboration with the National Federation of Cypriots in the UK, warmly invites you to a special evening of music, memory, and Mediterranean soul.
📅 Thursday, 25 June 2026
🕖 7:00 pm
📍 Greek Cypriot Brotherhood
2 Britannia Road, London N12 9RU
Mediterranean Echoes brings together distinguished tenor Marios Charalampous and the gifted young pianist Andreas Marinou in a lyrical programme inspired by the cultural crossroads of Cyprus and the wider Hellenic world.
Through beloved works by Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Marios Tokas, and Evagoras Karageorgis, alongside traditional colours and contemporary sensibilities, this concert traces emotional landscapes of love, exile, longing, resilience, and hope. Brief spoken reflections between songs will guide the audience through the historical and poetic threads that connect music with memory.
This concert marks the culmination of the cultural celebrations in London for the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union: a moment of artistic reflection and community unity, where music becomes a bridge between heritage and the future.
✨ An intimate and evocative evening
Join us for a night where voices, piano, and story come together echoing the spirit of the Mediterranean and the shared cultural heartbeat of our community.
