A﻿ message from the organiser - 13 September 2022: We are deeply saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth last week and out of respect for preparations and arrangements for her Majesty's funeral, we have made the decision to postpone the September 19th MedTech Showcase event.We are still committed to showcasing our region’s best and brightest at a more appropriate time and will announce a new date for the MedTech Showcase in due course. We will update this space when a new date has been confirmed, email all registered attendees, and reopen registration for any new attendees.Thank you for understanding. -﻿-----

Join us for MedTech Showcase on Monday 19 September from 12:00 – 18:00. The Data Shed, Nexus &amp; The University of Leeds, and Leeds Digital Festival are joining forces to provide a platform to the region’s MedTech innovators to showcase the important work that is being done and the challenges they face. This inaugural event will be an exciting half-day consisting of: <ul><li>A full agenda of talks, panel discussions, and keynote</li><li>Breakout rooms for consultations and subject-specific workshops</li><li>An exhibitor space showcasing six different MedTech in action</li><li>A virtual exhibitor space showcasing additional vendors in the MedTech space</li><li>Networking and connecting</li></ul>

12:00 onwards – Registration

12:30 - Introduction &amp; welcome

12:40 – 13:00 – Keynote: Leeds &amp; MedTech - leading the way

13:15 - The role of MedTech in improving patient outcomes and experience.

13:45 – 14:15 - The Founders' Perspective: Panel of MedTech founders - hear first-hand experiences

14:30 - Q&A: Panel of industry experts answer questions

15:00 – 15:30 - The importance of data in the evolution of MedTech devices and virtual wards (where does the responsibility lie to get this right?)

16:00 - The Solution So Far: Panel of Surgeons, Drs and Clinicians and how they're using MedTech.

16:30 – 17:00 - Close - Summarising where we are and the hope for the future, both in healthcare and for the city of Leeds.

17:00 – 18:00 – Networking &amp; drinks

Who should join: Founders, stakeholders in the MedTech and Leeds Tech ecosystem, and anyone looking to connect with the industry. Why you should join: This event is the first of its kind in Leeds with support and participation from Nexus &amp; The University of Leeds, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT), Leeds Digital Festival, and the wider MedTech community in Leeds. The agenda will cover inspirational topics such as founders’ stories and innovative solutions already in place to impact patient outcomes, to practical knowledge-sharing on topics like procurement into the NHS, IP, patents, and funding. MedTech Showcase is an opportunity for professionals in various aspects of the medical and tech industries to connect, share knowledge, support one another, and advance innovation.
