Ever wondered if snakes really are slippery? Now's your chance to find out!

Gain a better understanding and appreciation for these fascinating, elusive creatures through an up-close encounter that would be impossible in the wild. Learn more about their features and behaviour, and how best to look after them in their natural surroundings.

'Snakes Alive' and Rocky's Animals will be bringing a range of wonderful reptiles and other fantastic beasts for you to meet and interact with. We will also have a Punch & Judy Show plus other activities for children.

NB: Car parking available in Wellington Drive opposite Leys Children's Centre

The Ranger Service looks after several parks across Barking & Dagenham and works with local communities to encourage more people to use parks in the borough. We host a series of events for all ages throughout the year and work with schools to teach children all about wildlife and why it's so important.
