Join us for a fun and interactive dance taster day suitable for children and teens- if you are a parent of carer please do feel free to join. Explore creative movement, Kathak-inspired steps, and rhythm exercises accompanied by live tabla music. Aimed at young people and families specifically between 5-16 years of age, but all welcome to the taster event. Please order the number of adult tickets (free) and child (7.50) so we can keep track of numbers.

.Schedule for 6th January Taster Event led by dance artist Vidya Patel and tabla percussionist Nirmal Chohan:

• 6:00-6:10 Introduction by Vidya & Nirmal
• 6:10–6:40 pm: Taster workshop: Creative dance, rhythm games, and fun exercises
• 6:40–6:55 pm: Short performance – all ages can watch
• 6:55–7:25 pm: Free chai & meet and greet – please stay and chat with instructors, ask questions, and learn more about term classes and youth group starting from the 13th January- 24th February 2026
• 7:25–7:30 pm: Q&A and sign-ups

About the Instructors:

• Vidya Patel – Professional Dance artist, Choreographer and Teacher trained in Kathak and Creative dance
• Nirmal Chohan – Professional Tabla player

Booking / Cost:

• £7.50 per child via Eventbrite
• Carers/parents free
• Taster Event workshop will be aimed at 5–16 years but all ages and families are welcome to the Taster Event. We are keen to know if there is interest of any other age ranges and types of classes

Future Term Classes:

• We are running weekly sessions (6 sessions) for 5–12 years (5:30-6:30pm) and 13–16 years (6:45-7:45pm) starting January 13th January - 24th February 2026
