Mer-Made Nemo Deep Training

Mer-Made work with experienced NoTanx freediving coaches to share our love of being underwater with a wider audience. We want to take your mermaid dreams places you never thought possible!

This January, Mer-Made and NoTanx Freediving Club are bringing you an extended Nemo33 Deep Trip for merfolk, with THREE 1.5 hour pool sessions!  You'll get to wear your mermaid tail in the 10 metre deep pit at Nemo with a group of around 6 other mers. You can also now book a place with a private underwater photoshoot add on option!
You'll book your own Eurostar tickets and travel out to Brussels Midi-Zud on Friday 11th January. The Hotel Ibis Budget in South Ruisbroek will be available for you to check in to from midday. First thing on Saturday morning we will have our first pool session,  followed by some theory work in the middle of the day. In the afternoon we'll return to the pool. There will be one more pool session on Sunday morning and then everyone will head home.
Within the pool sessions you'll get to work on equalisation, as well as  relaxation and awareness at depth. With three fully coached sessions there'll be time to focus on your own individual mermaid training objectives which could include working towards mermaiding without a mask, improving your finning techniques,  addressing buoyancy issues, facial expressions and posing underwater or learning to recognise tension and relax through it. 
There will be opportunities for all attendees to get individual and group photos taken by our Head Coach Marcus Greatwood. These will be available after the event via PixieSet for a small download fee, and you can also order prints. If you would like to take the opportunity to get a full set of individual images or some dedicated time to work on getting a particular shot you've envisioned, there will be three slots available for 1-1 photoshoots, each around 20-30 minutes long which will include access to all digital copies of images. This photoshoot worth £100 will be just £70 for this trip. You can add the photoshoot as an additional item after purchasing your Nemo Deep Training ticket.

FAQs
Are any minimum requirements to enter the event? You need to be able to propel yourself confidently in a tail out of your depth. We would suggest that you will get more out of this event if you have attended a Tidal in the past and have a confident dolphin kick.
Are there  minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Over 18's only
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
It is suggested that attendees coming from the UK travel by Eurostar to Brussels Midi-Zuid. You can take the S2 train, or the 50, 4, or the 78 bus from the station direct to the hotel, or travel by taxi.  There is free parking for guests at the hotel and at Nemo33
Allow some money for taking taxis between Nemo and the hotel.
What do I need to bring?
The usual items you would need for travellling abroad. Bring your usual swim things, 2-3 changes of these if you don't want to use wet swimwear for your later pool sessions. Mermaid tail (we may be abkle to provide one if you don't have one Bi-fins and dive mask if you have them.
Nose clip/dive weights if you usually use these.
Underwater camera if you have one.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, ideally. Please also print, complete and bring along the liability and medical form that we will send you prior to the event.
