Do I need to be a Christian to be at this event?

Accepted Answer

Not, these retreats are accessible to anyone and there is no agenda. The space is for your to connect to what you understand as the Divine, to your own soul and engaging with the theme of the retreat - with your own spirituality and autonomy, encouraged to take what works & leave the rest :-)

Do I need to speak at the event?

Accepted Answer

This is a gathering for quiet personal reflection.  There will be opportunity to share in the comments box at times (not compulsory). There is an option to share in a time held circle at the end for those who want to share in a confidential space, after everyone else has left.

Question 3

Do I need to be experienced in meditation and contemplation?

Accepted Answer

This space is accessible to complete beginners, all practices will be explained clearly and you will be invited to try things and take what works and leave the rest. Meditation and contemplation is all about practice, we are all beginners!  Different practices work well for different people.

What is the faith/belief of the host?

Accepted Answer

Anna's work is rooted in the Celtic, mystical & contemplative streams of Christianity, drawing also on other wisdom traditions, the arts, science & psychology. It’s fully LGBTQ+ inclusive. Bring your own spirituality and evolving faith—you don’t need to identify as Christian to engage.

Faith shifting is the process of questioning, rethinking or evolving beliefs once held as certain. It often involves deconstructing inherited faith and exploring new ways of connecting with the sacred. It’s deeply personal, sometimes painful, and can lead to a more authentic, spacious spirituality.

LiveLightDwellDeep offers spacious, soulful retreats, resources, groups for those navigating faith shifts, deconstruction, & spiritual reawakening. Rooted in Celtic, contemplative Christianity & open to all, it invites you to live lightly, dwell deeply, & reconnect with your inner life & the sacred

Do I need to believe the same things as everyone else?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. This is a rewilding space, not a monoculture. We engage with the sacred in diverse ways and honour each person’s unique journey. There’s room here for questioning, evolving, and showing up just as you are—no fixed beliefs required.
