This is the official followup to the innovative Midas Mode, voted best Dota Tournament of the Year, beating even the Dota 2 International. Midas Mode 2 features a custom game mode where the Tier 1 Dota 2 teams need to play both in and out of the game!
Each team is given a bank of credits they use to purchase heroes for their drafts. The heroes get more expensive as they are picked and banned, so teams are forced to select lesser used ones and as a result form unique drafts. They must also complete community issued Bounties (in-game challenges) in order to earn more Moonbucks. How will teams spend their hard earned cash? Will they pick horrible heroes to save money, or spend wildly but complete as many zany challenges as possible? Only time will tell, and you can only see it at Midas Mode!
This year, we are having a Live Audience for the first time. This is the ONLY EVENT IN NORTH AMERICA for Dota 2. Midas Mode was created to bridge the gap between viewers and pro players, and this time we have incredible interactive experiences to make you feel like you are impacting the game. While some of these experiences will be for our online fans, the fans live will have experiences no other tournament can provide.
Midas Mode 2 will be an intimate event, where you and less than 1,000 people will be able to interact with talent and experience the fun and excitement of Midas Mode live. Not only that, but Local Host Arena is also a LAN Cafe, and we have the entire thing open and ready for you!

Will Pro Teams be at the event?
Pro teams will play online only, but we have many exciting ways to interact with them for our audience, to be announced soon.
Can we eat and drink in the Arena? 
Yes. There are plans for alcohol to be served during the event
