The British Business Bank, Start Up Loans Company in partnership with Cultiv8 Solutions and CREME, present the Midlands BAME Business Summit 2016.


About the event:

The focus of the event is to generate solutions and recommendations, that will feed into national strategies of support for black and minority ethnic business owners, including new migrants communities.

The event will also explore the historical, present and future issues that affect the financial survival and scaleup opportunities of minority owned businesses, and the impact this will place on the regional growth agenda of the Greater Birmingham region.

Feedback from the day will be help to form a formal Midlands Report that will be presented to central government and the Prime Minister's office at No 10 Downing Street.

Curated and hosted by Joel Blake OBE, the day will consist of:

- Expert talks

- Interactive Question Time style business panel

- Facilitated audience discussion with a cross section of entrepreneurs, business owners and business support organisations from the public, private and third sectors.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Car parking is available on the surface car park next to the hotel. Charges apply and are from £1.50 to £12.50 for 24 hours.
Selfridges Car Park (B5 4BP) £5.00 per stay regardless of the length of your stay.
Public Transport Directions
Hotel La Tour is located near to the centre of Birmingham and is easily walkable from New Street Station and Moor Street Station.
The venue is a two minute walk from Moor Street Station and seven minutes from New Street Station.
To reach the venue from Moor Street - simply turn right out of the station and follow Moor Street Queensway until you reach Hotel La Tour. Turn right onto Masshouse lane and you will see the hotel entrance on the left.
To reach the venue from New Street Station - exit the station through the main ticket hall and walk to New Street, turn left past the bus stops and go up the stairs ahead, you will see a bronze bull statue to your right and go down the walkway with Zara on your left and walk straight ahead towards Armani Exchange and Next. Walk down the steps and turn left onto Moor Street. Follow Moor Street round, you will see Moor Street station ahead of you and Hotel La Tour across the road to your right.
