This month will be different, expect a few different pubs but still with the same awesome people...

Powered Up Business Networking (PUBNetworking) is an “out of hours” networking event that does away with the usual networking formalities.

You’ll get to learn about the people behind the business – without a torrent of sales pitches …and bland tea and coffee. And you’ll get to have a lot of laughs whilst you’re at it!

As you know, the best business connections are the people you want to spend time with outside of work. They’re the people you can trust, and whose company you enjoy. PUBNetworking is the place to find them.

We have a loose structure, relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to learn from other business experts – with no strings attached.

Just bring yourself, your e-ticket and your best smile and you’re good to go.

Each event has four objectives…

Meet awesome people

We have a wide range of business people that attend. From start-ups to those with 30 years’ experience – across a wide range of industries. Everyone that attends is under no obligation to attend (we have no memberships, or contracts) so they’re there purely to meet people like you.

Build long-lasting relationships

We believe in a 'people buy from people' philosophy. In a relaxed environment, everyone feels comfortable and the connections you make are less forced, and more genuine. You’ll get to know each person in more detail – and have a good time doing so.

Learn things without pitches

Each event is productive and valuable. And we want everyone to walk away having learned something new. Our speakers offer genuine value, without sneaky sales pitches. We want you to take what you learn and use it to benefit your business.

And to keep things fresh and engaging, we’ll also be featuring a local business or initiative from the Newport Pagnell area each time. You’ll get a quick intro from them on the night – a chance to discover new initiatives or success stories from the local business scene.

Have fun

And above all, we want you to have fun. Sometimes that’s easier with a drink in your hand (it also makes the terrible jokes slightly more tolerable…). Our networking events are all about you, your passions and your business success.

For this upcoming event, we’ll be adding a bit of a twist – a walking pub tour. Yes, seriously. After the main bit of the evening, we’ll be heading out together to visit a handpicked pubs down Newport Pagnell’s high street before finishing up at The Dolphin. It’s all designed to make it easier to mingle, keep the atmosphere lively and give you the chance to build connections while enjoying the town’s character.

What’s happening this month?

For this event, our speaker is the awesome motivational speaker and world’s strongest woman – Meg Robson. Her talk is called "How to Give a Powerful Presentation."

This talk will show you what makes some talks stick and others fade away. You'll learn ways to hold attention, boost confidence and make sure your message actually lands. As the world’s strongest woman, Meg knows a thing or two about performing under pressure – and lifting the mood when it matters!

Location

Starting at Ousebank House, we have their function room all to ourselves. And a great selection of drinks too.

You’ll also be well looked after – Ousebank House will have nibbles available, and you’ll have access to a bar throughout the event.

In future months (when we do the pub tours), the evening will start here too – with drinks, intros, and a short talk – before we set off down the high street. We’ll be ending up at The Dolphin where we’ll have exclusive use of their lounge and back garden areas, and yes, a bar there as well. A screen and projector will be available at both venues, so you won’t miss a thing.

Plan for the night:

7.30 – Arrive at Ousebank House for drinks, intros & mingling

7.50 – Quick welcome and presentation from Meg.

8.30 – PUB tour kicks off! We’ll stroll Newport Pagnell high street, visiting 1–2 handpicked venues.

9.15 – Wrap up at The Dolphin Pub.

Start at: Ousebank House (private function room, bar, nibbles, screen & projector)

End at: The Dolphin Pub .

Somewhere in the middle: A surprise pub.
