Our webinars offer a safe, fact-based space. You can attend anonymously and get information and support on topics linked to MS and wellbeing.  We will be joined by speakers who are experts in their field along with volunteers with lived experience.

In this webinar we&#x27;ll be joined by MS Society&#x27;s Michelle Ellwood, who is also a Buddhist nun known as Kelsang Drolkyi, as we explore the ancient technique of mindfulness. Kelsang is a trained meditation teacher and will:<ul><li>Help you to understand what mindfulness and meditation are and how they can benefit you.</li><li>Show you how to develop and maintain mindfulness</li><li>Take away some practical tips to help maintain a peaceful mind and how you can apply it to your everyday lives.</li></ul>The webinar will consist of a talk and a short guided mediation as well as the opportunity to ask questions.You don’t need to know anything about mindfulness or meditation. This session is equally suitable for newcomers and those with some experience of meditation.What will I need to take part?All you need to join in is a laptop/tablet/phone/computer with a stable internet connection to use Zoom, the video meeting software that we use.How do I join the webinar?Before the event we will send you an email which will have a link to the webinar which is held via Zoom. The email will also tell you how to ask questions and make comments during the webinar. At the time the webinar is due to start, click on the link and you will be taken to the webinar. If the session hasn’t started you will see a message to tell you this. Just hang on and when the session starts you will see 2 or 3 people pop up on your screen.When I join the webinar can other people see or hear me? No you can’t be seen or heard by other participants.Can I ask questions?Yes usually you can ask questions and make comments. The facilitator will tell participants about how to do this. When there are more than 100 participants, our license will only allow the first 100 people to ask questions during the event.Please note we can’t respond or offer advice to questions about your specific circumstances or anything relating to your own personal health. Questions will be collated and we will try to cover your queries if not your specific question.What if I haven’t been sent the link?We send an email with a link to everyone who completes the registration form on Eventbrite and books a place, so please enter your email address carefully when registering.
