Mindful Pause is a soothing guided meditation and sound bath session designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your body, mind, and heart. Held at Oxford House since 2022, and led by mindfulness practitioner Sandy SY Lee, this experience blends gentle guidance with the healing tones of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls to support rest and self-compassion.

Frequently asked questions

What can I expect during the session?

Each session includes guided mindfulness meditation followed by a sound bath using crystal and Tibetan singing bowls. You’ll be invited to lie down or sit comfortably and simply receive the experience, no prior experience is necessary. Come as you are.

Do I need to bring anything?

If you’d like, you can bring your own yoga mat and blanket for comfort. Chairs and some mats/blankets will be available on a first come, first served basis. You may also bring a light scarf or eye mask to help with relaxation.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to relax. Layers are recommended in cooler months as your body temperature may drop when resting.

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes! The session is open to all levels and designed to be accessible, whether you’re new to mindfulness or have a regular practice.

Is there a cost to attend?

This event is free to attend. However, donations are always welcome. 100% of proceeds go back to Oxford House to support inclusive well-being programmes. Cash and card payments are accepted on-site.

Can I attend just one session, or do I need to commit to all?

You are welcome to attend any session that suits your schedule. We encourage you to attend all three sessions if possible, to gather together and practice as a community. The event on November 24, 2025, is a Special Edition: Light and Sound Immersive experience. More info will be updated soon.
