Minecraft Coding Workshop
Overview

Does your child love Minecraft? Turn that gaming passion into real-world tech skills this summer!

Delivered by the specialist ICT in Schools team, this hands-on, 90-minute workshop takes children behind the scenes of their favorite game to learn the fundamentals of computer science.

Using Minecraft's educational coding platform, students will write code to command their own digital "Agent," automate builds, and solve exciting puzzles within the game world. It is the perfect blend of play and logic, designed to boost problem-solving skills and introduce core programming concepts in a familiar, engaging environment. No prior coding experience is necessary!

Session Times (90-minute sessions):

  • Session 1: 9:30 am – 11:00 am
  • Session 2: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
  • Session 3: 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Children aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.
