Mini Explorers- Tree Spirits Half Term Activity
Join our amazing Park Rangers for a fun-filled event at Bulwell Hall exploring the park and connecting with nature by creating Tree Spirits
Tree Spirits is back — and it’s one of our most playful, creative sessions yet.
Join us for a guided trail through the park and nature reserve, where you’ll explore the landscape, discover the hidden stories of the trees around you, and learn why they’re so important for both wildlife and people. Along the way, we’ll forage for natural materials to help you create your very own Tree Spirit. It's a chance to get imaginative, hands‑on, and maybe even a little bit muddy.
This time, we’re heading to Bulwell Hall, a much‑loved historic park in the north of the city. Known for its football pitches, angling spots and golf course, it’s also a favourite place for families to explore. The site has a fascinating past — from being owned by a local brewer to serving as a Prisoner of War camp during the Second World War.
The landscape has everything you need for an adventure: traditional parkland, ponds, woodlands, streams and meadow areas. There’s no shortage of places to wander, wonder and gather inspiration.
Parking: Available on site. Please use the car park to the left of the play area as you enter. Our rangers will meet you on the grass beside the car park.
What to wear: Wellies or sturdy waterproof footwear are strongly recommended.
