Overview

Edit your own short film using online video editing tools in this creative workshop for children aged 7-12!

This workshop - which will show you how to edit your own short movie - is a must for all budding video editors.

Each session is 1.5 hours long. Sign up for one of three sessions on Tuesday 17th February:

10:30am - 12pm

12:30pm - 2pm

2:30pm - 4pm


What you’ll do

You will:

  • Plan out your scene using a clip library
  • Learn how to edit video clips together to make a longer film
  • Add special effects to bring your creation to life


Who’s this for?

This is a workshop for children aged 7-12.

What you need to bring

All workshop equipment is provided.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Every booking automatically grants entry to an accompanying adult. Due to venue size, we ask that you don't bring more grown-ups so that everyone has plenty of room to create!


Cost

This event is free to attend. We charge a £3 booking fee, which is refunded after you attend the event. If you prefer, you can also leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds are processed within seven working days via our booking platform, Eventbrite.

If you cannot afford a ticket, please email office@madlab.org.uk with your name and postcode, and we will be in touch.


Additional information

Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

This workshop uses Clipchamp, a free browser-based application which you can download and use at home.


About the workshop lead

This workshop is led by Lee Power. Lee is an experienced teacher who specialises in design and loves tinkering with new technology.
