I warmly welcome you to an evening of creative play and 'Making Stuff '!
We'll be diving into building our own individual ‘Mini Worlds’...this is a very open, loose title to see where it takes us...and who knows?
We'll each choose a small box as a foundation for this project. There'll be glue guns, pva and tools for you to use to customise your mini world of ‘Poetic Theatre’. Using wide range of up-cycled materials, papers, wire, string, paint and 'findings' we'll each create a unique piece of art.
There will be many found items and materials to choose from on the evening, each with their own unique allure...
I encourage you to go through your draws keep your eyes open and bring your own interesting bits’n’bob’s; buttons, feathers, broken non-precious jewellery, small images that you like. It’s fun to collect. Although I will have lots for us to use, so please don't worry.
Believe me, this becames something even more interesting when we alchemise the elements together.
There'll be music, a light warm up, a short meditation, some creative exercises, poetic writing, 'making' time, all rounded off with some friendly, lighthearted and encouraging group sharing.
Aim to arrive at 5.30pm for a welcoming tea and find a seat. We'll start the session at 5.45 for a full evening of creative wonderings.
(Please leave time to park, as there's only street parking available, Stapleton train station is a 5 minute walk away)
This event will be limited to a small group for a relaxed evening so please ensure to book early to secure your place.
I look forward to sharing and guiding all that I have, and to see your inner creativity bloom In a safe and welcoming space. 🪺 ✨
