Missing Maps @ QUB

<H2>Come and join us the November for an afternoon of humanitarian mapping and free food. No previous experience required.</H2>
On Wednesday 15th November we will be hosting a Missing Maps event in support of <A HREF="https://www.msf.org.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)</A>, the <A HREF="http://www.redcross.org.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Red Cross</A> and the <A HREF="https://www.hotosm.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT)</A>, to help improve maps of vulnerable or disaster affected places.
This event also sees us joining mapathons all around the world for <A HREF="http://osmgeoweek.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OSM Geo Week</A> and <A HREF="http://www.gisday.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GIS Day</A>!
The event is being held in IT suite Room 01/110, Medical Biology Centre at Queens University Belfast between 4.30-6.30pm.

What is it?
The aim of the <A HREF="http://www.missingmaps.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Missing Maps Project</A> is to map the most crisis-prone parts of the world. With your time we can directly help humanitarian organisations improve the lives of some of the planet’s most vulnerable people.
No matter whether you're an experienced Humanitarian Mapper or have never done anything like this before, come along to learn more about OpenStreetMap, GIS and the Missing Maps project.
We will do an introduction on how to map and teach you how to edit OSM and work with the HOT Tasking Manager on mapping tasks.
 
What do I need?
Just a laptop (you must bring your own with you), a mouse and enthusiasm (mouse isn't absolutely necessary but makes the mapping A LOT faster).
No experience necessary. All tools are free and open source.
