Overview

Join a relaxed, friendly and inspiring mixed-media collage workshop where you’ll be encouraged to create something truly meaningful.

Mixed Media Memory Collage

Join collage artist Caris Jackson for a relaxed, friendly and inspiring mixed-media collage workshop where you’ll be encouraged to play, explore and create something truly personal.

This session is perfect for all levels, no previous experience needed. Whether you’re brand new to collage or returning to creativity, you’ll be supported every step of the way in a welcoming and inclusive space.

Caris will share her imaginative creative process and a rich selection of visual resources, guiding you through:

  • developing ideas and visual narratives
  • composition and layering
  • working with colour

You’ll have plenty of freedom to work intuitively while receiving clear, supportive guidance to help your ideas come together.

All materials are provided, including:

  • an A4 board
  • a wide selection of repurposed, printed and coloured papers
  • paint, glue, brushes, scissors and embellishments

To make your collage more personal, you’re invited (but not required) to bring an image (no larger than A4) of someone significant to you, such as a family member, pet, celebrity or selfie! You’re also welcome to bring your favourite scissors or any collage materials you love working with.

Caris is a mixed-media collage artist based in Shrewsbury. Her theatrical, story-rich collages are created by re-purposing vintage prints and papers.
