Mixed Media Memory Collage

Join collage artist Caris Jackson for a relaxed, friendly and inspiring mixed media collage workshop where you will be encouraged to explore, experiment and create something truly personal.This session is perfect for all levels, no previous experience needed. Whether you are brand new to collage or returning to creativity, you'll be supported every step of the way in a welcoming and inclusive space

Caris will share her imaginative creative process and provide a rich selection of visual resources, guiding you through;

  • developing ideas and visual narratives
  • composition and layering
  • working with colour

You'll have plenty of freedom to work intuitively while receiving clear,supportive guidence to help your ideas come together.

All materials are provided, including;

  • An A4 board
  • a wide selection of repurposed, printed and coloured papers
  • paint, glue, brushes, scissors and embellishments

To make your collage more personal, you are invited (but not required) to bring an image (no larger than A4) of someone significant to you, such as a family member, friend, pet, celebrity or selfie! You are also welcome to bring your favourite scissors and any collage materials you love working with.

Caris is a mixed media collage artist based in Shrewsbury. Her theatrical story-rich collages are created by re-purposing vintage prints and papers.
