Do I need prior experience to participate?

Our workshops are open to all experience levels. We will be your gentle guides through the processes of creative writing and zine-making to ensure a pressure-free environment where you can fully immerse into your artistic imagination.

Question 2

Do I need to bring any materials along with me?

Accepted Answer

We will provide all the materials you need, but we welcome you to bring along any extra materials you feel would enhance your zine-making experience or outcome. Keep the theme of "M*LK" in mind when opting to bring extra materials.

Question 3

Can I attend only one of the workshops?

Accepted Answer

Each workshop session will cover different but equally integral elements in the publishing process, from content to format to design; therefore, participants are required to attend both workshops in order to have their completed contributions included in the final zine.

Question 4

Can I still attend if I do not identify as LGBTQIA+?

Accepted Answer

In short, yes! Our workshops are open to allies and individuals who want to show support, learn more about the LGBTQIA+ experience, and celebrate diversity in a community setting. We kindly ask that you approach our sessions with respect, empathy, and an open mind.

Question 5

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

We can only refund your ticket up to 1 week before the workshop takes place. This is so we can ensure there is enough time to re-list the ticket and offer it to those on our waiting list. Unfortunately, the Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.
