Modern Rag Rug Workshop

Modern Rag Rug Workshop

Sunny Bank Mills GalleryFarsley
Friday, Mar 20 from 10 am to 12:30 pm GMT
Overview

Join Kim Searle to learn how to create wall art, homewares and more using textile scraps and rope.

Rag Rugging is a technique traditionally used to turn rags into textural rugs.

In this open ended session you'll learn two versatile rag rug techniques that can be used to create wall art, homewares, brooches and more! There will be a wide range of fabric scraps, recycled materials, colourful rope, buttons and other things to choose from to make your piece unique.

As rag rugging takes a long time to complete you may not finish your piece in the session (unless you're creating a brooch) but will go away with tools and skills to complete it.

All materials included.

Course Level: Beginner
