About MoFest – Celebrating the Life & Music of Steven Mo Morris
Join us on 4th July 2026 at the George Street Working Mans Club in Hucknall for MoFest — a heartfelt celebration of the life, legacy and love of music of Steven “Mo / Mowgli” Morris, who was sadly taken far too soon in 2025. This special night brings together rock fans, friends and the local community for an unforgettable evening of guitars, anthems and memories.
Headlining the event is Danny Wildheart & The UK Reprobates — led by rock legend Danny “Wildheart” McCormack, best known for his iconic role as bassist and vocalist with seminal British rock outfit The Wildhearts. Danny’s new band channels catchy punk‑rock energy, raw attitude and a lifetime of road‑tested riffs that promise to set the tone for an explosive night of live music.
From Hucknall’s own musical roots, Pariahonfire hit the stage next. Formed on the local scene over 20 years ago, the band has reunited to bring their distinctive sound back to life — and they share a special connection with Steven (Mo) who once jammed with them during his musical journey.
Also performing are Big Muff, an awesome local covers band known for bringing wide‑ranging rock classics to life, and The Daz Metal Experience Band — a collective of talented area musicians coming together to pay tribute to Steven’s spirit with powerful rock covers in his honour. We will also have some special guest performances TBC.
MoFest is brought to you by Shock & Awe Music Promotion, marking the return of one of the region’s most passionate live‑music promoters after nearly two decades.
Once a driving force in building a buzzing local music scene, Shock & Awe are excited to reignite that spark with this very special event.
Why this gig matters:
This is more than a gig — it’s a celebration of friendship, artistry and the impact one incredible person had on those around him. All profits from the night will be donated to two great causes:
The Air Ambulance Service, a charity providing life‑saving helicopter emergency medical services across the region, responding to serious incidents and delivering critical care at the scene.
Brake – the road safety charity, a UK organisation dedicated to preventing road deaths and injuries while supporting families affected by road traffic collisions.
We also kindly accept any donations on the night towards Steven’s (Mo’s) teenage son who tragically faces growing up without his dad and best friend in his life.
Please come together with us for a night of rock, remembrance and community spirit — and help make a positive difference in Steven’s name.
