Moisture Management

Moisture Management

Heyne Tillett SteelLondon, England
Monday, Feb 16, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm GMT
Overview

With Shaher Meshraki, Sihga Monitorix

Recent high profile losses involving mass timber buildings in the UK have highlighted their potential vulnerability to water damage. Many of these problems can be easily avoided with the correct application of monitoring technology.

The insurance industry paid out £4.86 billion to homeowners and businesses in 2023 but there is a raft of technology now available that can warn us of the presence of excessive moisture and enable us to take action before any lasting damage, especially with timber, takes place.

Please join us for a fascinating evening with Austrian expert Shaher who will discuss the various hardware sensors available from Sihga Monitorix, from tapes to core and roof sensors and their accompanying software. He will talk us through areas of application and implementation and discuss a number of case studies including offices, schools and a timber hybrid city quarter with 3000m2 of flat roof and 320 wet rooms.

Join us after for a quick drink and some networking too!
