Moment-2-Moment is a heartfelt gathering designed to celebrate and strengthen the unique bond between mothers and daughters of African and Caribbean heritage. In a world that often rushes by, this evening offers a special space to pause, connect, and create cherished memories together.
Through a blend of cultural storytelling, shared experiences, and fun activities, participants will embark on a journey that honours their rich heritage and the powerful relationship they share. This event is more than just an evening out—it’s an opportunity to deepen connections, celebrate resilience, and build lasting traditions… one meaningful moment at a time.
Moment2Moment was founded by Maliyah, 13, and her mother, Mona. Maliyah dreams of creating a space where girls can strengthen connections with their mums, be themselves, and have fun. After relocating from Leeds when Maliyah was just six months old, Mona noticed a lack of the same supportive connections she had growing up. Together, they are building a community where young Black girls are celebrated, supported, and encouraged to grow into proud Black Queens.
The theme for this session will be: Building Confidence.
