Overview

Tools and skills for all fundraising roles to track, evaluate, and communicate impact with confidence.

Whether you’re applying to trusts, reporting back to corporate partners, or engaging individual supporters, knowing how to demonstrate your impact is no longer a nice-to-have – it’s essential.

The Monitoring & Evaluation Training Course is designed to make monitoring, evaluating, and reporting to your supporters accessible, relevant, and empowering for fundraisers in all roles, from Trusts and Foundations to Individual Giving, Corporate, and Community Fundraising.

If you’ve ever thought: “Funders are asking for more evidence, and I don’t know where to start,” … “I know our work makes a difference, but I struggle to tell that story clearly,”… or “We don’t have the time or tools to do proper impact reporting,”… then this course is for you!

Who is this course for?

This course is perfect for:

  • Fundraisers of all levels, working across income streams
  • Charity staff involved in grant applications, reporting, or donor stewardship
  • Small teams or sole fundraisers who want to make monitoring and impact work for them
  • Anyone who wants to feel more confident about showing their charity’s value and outcomes

This training course complements our Bid Writing, Storytelling, and Trusts & Foundations training courses.

During this two-day course, you will:

  • Understand how to link your organisation’s mission to measurable outcomes,
  • Learn what data matters most (and how to collect it – without overwhelm!),
  • Be able to build a simple logic model to support your fundraising applications,
  • Discover low-cost or free UK-based tools to help with evaluation and impact,
  • Feel more confident using impact stories and stats to report back to funders and supporters,
  • Know how to embed monitoring and evaluation into your fundraising practice, even in small teams,

Delivered across two 2-hour sessions, this course will be friendly and conversational, with lots of opportunities to ask questions and get input from our Funding Expert.
